The record

The first time we met, Carmelo asked perplexed: - What instruments do we have?- -Percussions, guitar…-and then the big one – the zampogna a paro.(Sicilian bagpipe)-

- The zampogna a paro? But that is the first instrument I have ever seen in my life, when in Messina on Christmas day the zampognari used to go from house to house.-

A bit for fun, we started to experiment the sonority of the zampogna a paro, within an instrumental context, the different tone colours of our voices, percussions, the marrazzano, Pietro’s friscaletti, the blend of the chords, our repertoire evolved in years.

All that together with our self consciousness, our rewards and lucky encounters have brought us to the first record.
